Battenkill Pro-Am
Success! We successfully put Ty, my Tucson homie, in the move of the day and let the leash out to a nice big gap. He had some bad luck with a mechanical and came out of the group, the officials wouldnt let him pace back on and he was 9th. Back in the bunch things were pretty relaxing, except every hill was absolutely pshyco hard... not sure what the deal was there! I was able to stay up front super easy all day and keep eating lots of food and drink, and just stay out of trouble in the hills and dirt. A lot of guys pulled out for the bad weather, --rain and wind, and maybe 48 degrees-- a lot to save it for tommorow, and a lot of guys got a good ol' fashioned beat down and shot out the back, so I sprinted in with a small remaining group and took 11th... A great day for the team, our goal was to be present but save our bodies as much as possible, but an even better day for Ty and I, the Tucson home-boys representin' Kenda on the front..
